I haven't been to Brac or Mljet, but here are my thoughts on the others: Split is a large city. We stayed at Base Rooms inside Diocletian's Palace for two nights, which we found to be just right. It was interesting and there was a beach within walking distance. Vis is a small, less-visited island accessible via daily ferries from Split. We

We are torn between these 3; Brac, Hvar and Vis. Our idea is that we go somewhere quiet for these 3 days but an island where there is still enough amenities.
31st August we left the marina with our first destination Zlarin Island, we found an Isolated bay on the south end and enjoyed our first night marina free. It takes approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes to cross 33 nautical miles of distance between Vis and Split, of course if the weather conditions are good.
